Austin Lippert, EIT, is an Applications Engineer at FS-Elliott Co., LLC in Export, Pennsylvania, an OEM of integrally geared centrifugal compressors. He leads application engineering for a new gas compression product line, translating customer specifications and industry standards, including API 617, API 672, API 614, API 670, and ASME Section VIII, into aerodynamic, thermal, and mechanical design decisions. He analyzes plant demand and air audits to determine compressor size and staging, and works with design engineering on frame-size progression and aero staging. Before his current role, he completed FS-Elliott’s Engineering Development Program, rotating through project, applications, and product engineering, and served as lead technical resource for centrifugal compressor orders from quotation through installation.
Austin holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Gannon University. At Gannon’s Center for Manufacturing and Technology, he served as Senior Makerspace Lab Engineer from 2021 to 2025, supporting student, faculty, and industry R&D in rapid prototyping and in FEA and CFD using Ansys Mechanical and Fluent. Earlier, as a Manufacturing Engineer at Industrial Sales and Manufacturing in Erie, he served as subject matter expert for a 5-axis manufacturing cell.
